Challenge has picked up the UK telecast rights to the Miss World 2007 grand final.
The channel, best known for its game show output but now positioning itself as a purveyor of more general light entertainment programming, aired the 2006 final, which topped the channel's slot average by 141%.
This year's live grand final will be held in China on December 1.
"Miss World is a total joy," said Celia Taylor, director of programmes at Virgin 1, Bravo, Bravo 2, Trouble and Challenge. "It’s a fantastic enduring brand that adds real glitz and glamour to Challenge’s winter schedule and is an indulgent treat for everyone."
