Channel 4 has ordered a one-off documentary on Barry Humphries, the man behind Dame Edna Everage, from October Films.
Barry Humphries: Behind The Make Up follows the comedian as he tours his stand-up show around his native Australia.
He returns to his home town, school and meets old friends in an exploration of his character. It will air next month.
The show was commissioned by David Glover, then a specialist factual commissioner, before he became science editor in June.
