The awards ceremony took place at London's Hilton hotel, was hosted by Keith Chegwin, and had guest presenters including soap star Matt Di Angelo and footballer Shaun Wright-Philips.

Other winners at the event included Aardman Animations, who won Company of the Year, CBeebies, which bagged the Channel of the Year title, and Barney Harwood, who was named Best Presenter for his work on Smile.
