Nickelodeon has ordered a series of short animations called Eddie Retractorhead from Cosgrove Hall Films.
It is hoped the ten one-minute clips will prove a success and lead to a full series.
Nickelodeon managing director Howard Litton commented: "Eddie Retractorhead is a perfect fit for Nickelodeon and further enhances our strong line-up of shortform programming."
Managing director of Cosgrove Anthony Utley added: "These shortform animated interstitials are an ideal way to launch the Eddie Retractorhead brand into the marketplace, and the versatile format lends itself to exploitation across both traditional and digital platforms."
