Living2 acquires 'Downsize My Pet'
Published Tuesday, Dec 11 2007, 12:23 GMT | By James Welsh

The series, which is made by the team behind Living2's Downsize Me, examines the health problems suffered by overweight domestic animals. The series forces the owners of overweight pets to eat the equivalent of how much their animal consumes in 24 hours - which in one case resulted in someone having to eat over 3kg of luncheon sausage.
Target Entertainment produced the show, which aired in New Zealand in September. It is hosted by vet Sacha Nowell and dog trainer Alexis Banis.
