The 65th Globes ceremony on January 13 will air live on Sky Movies Premiere for the first time under a new deal with Alfred Haber Distribution. Sky One will later air red carpet footage and highlights.
Sky has also renewed its contract with Disney for rights to show the Oscars. Live coverage of the February 24 ceremony will show on Sky Movies Premiere for the fourth year running.
Sky One will broadcast live from the red carpet and will air a highlights show the following day. There will also be a high definition show on Sky HD.
Sky entertainment managing director Sophie Turner-Laing said: "Sky has taken coverage of the Oscars to a new level – from the live event on Sky Movies HD and red carpet coverage on Sky One, to live news and updates on Sky News and Sky.com."
The live coverage of both events will be handled Sky Movies' in-house production team while Ruggie Media will produce the red carpet and highlights shows.
