'Ski Sunday' gets celebrity revamp
Published Wednesday, Dec 19 2007, 16:14 GMT | By Beth Hilton

Celebrities including Tara Palmer-Tomkinson will tackle a giant slalom course on the BBC show each week, similar to Top Gear's 'Star In A Reasonably Priced Car' segment.
Former Olympic skier Graham Bell will time each celebrity's run to see how much they can improve on their skills following a day of intensive tuition.
An insider told The Sun: “Bosses were worried the show was a bit old-fashioned, so they have spruced it up with a few stars. They didn’t want the ratings dropping off. It’s a bit like what happened to Top Gear."
TV presenter Ben Fogle, newsreader Fiona Bruce, comedian Marcus Brigstocke, sports pundit Clare Balding, celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal and Strictly Come Dancing star Colin Jackson will also take part in the weekly challenge.
The show will return for its 30th season in a longer, hour-long slot, and will include travel and entertainment features alongside the latest skiing action.
Ski Sunday starts its eight-week run at 7pm on January 20 on BBC Two.
