'Gavin & Stacey' stars were 'instant friends'

Mathew Horne and James Corden have revealed that they struck up an instant friendship on the set of Gavin & Stacey.
The pair, who will host Big Brother's Big Mouth during next month's Celebrity Hijack, hit it off immediately while filming the hit BBC Three comedy.
Horne said: "It was clear from the start, really. [James] got hold of my mobile number from a mutual friend shortly after I'd been offered the role of Gavin, and he sent me a little text, and straightaway I rang him back.
"We must have spoken for about an hour. I knew from then that we were going to be good mates, and it was going to be a lot of fun. I didn't know we were going to end up working together on other projects, and taking the relationship further, but I knew we were going to be mates."
Corden added that the pair are currently sharing a house, saying: "We don't get to hang out together as much as we'd like to, although we're living together in Cardiff at the moment while we're filming the second series. We get on great. I count him as one of my best friends and I love him to bits."
He added that he had never met Horne on the set of channel 4 drama Teachers, in which they both appeared at different times. He joked: "I did the series of Teachers that got nominated for a BAFTA and got recommissioned, and Matt did the series that got it axed. I think it's important that people know that. It's just a little detail. Matt killed the show, really."
