More celebrity "Survivor" details revealed

ITV's new reality series, I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, will begin on August 24 and run for a fortnight, according to the News of the World.
The programme is based on the channel's "Survivor" format, and will strand a host of celebrities in a remote rainforest near Tully in Northern Queensland, Australia, with only basic provisions to survive on.
Among those strongly tipped to be taking part are Christine Hamilton, Melinda Messenger, Tony Blackburn, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Nigel Benn, Marc Bannerman, Paul McKenna, Rhona Cameron and Ed Byrne.
"There are nine celebrities in the frame to appear in the show at the moment," an insider told the newspaper. "But that will be knocked down to just seven in a few days when programme makers decide exactly who they want."
A one-hour show will air on ITV every day during the fortnight. After the fourth night, viewers will start to vote off celebs until there is just one winner remaining, who will get to denote a cash prize to the charity of their choice.
"All the celebs are going to have all of life's comforts stripped away from them," the insider added. "And each day, they are going to have to take part in exhausting tasks. How people like Melinda and Christine will cope is anyone's guess."
The location has previously been used for the second series of US "Survivor".
