Channel 5 buys "CSI: Miami"

Channel 5 has bought the rights to a spinoff series of crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
CSI: Miami, set in the Miami-Dade police department, is due to premiere on the CBS network in the US later this year. Its Channel 5 debut will follow in early 2003. The third season of CSI will then follow in Summer 2003, giving the series a permanent presence in 5's Saturday night lineup.
The programme continues to be 5's top draw, pulling an average of over 3m viewers each week.
Jeff Ford, C5 CEO, said: "We are delighted that CSI and CSI: Miami will have long and successful lives with Channel 5 as the cornerstone of our Saturday night primetime line-up."
