Show bosses are to introduce the new format in a bid to encourage people to be more open about their lives.
An ITV source told The Mirror: "Jeremy is going to do a series of casebook-style shows this summer where he goes into people's homes to help sort out their problems.
"It's going to be brilliant viewing. People will be more comfortable and will open up more in familiar surroundings. If it's on their territory, they will be more open."
Last year a judge described the series as a "human form of bear baiting" before sentencing a guest who had headbutted another during filming.
The programme was voted the worst daytime show in TV history in a poll of 3,000 people earlier this month.
