The America's Next Top Model host will produce the series, which gives assistants the opportunity to take on greater responsibilities.
Producing partner Ken Mok said: "It is a competition show about aspiring assistants looking to become assistant editors at a fashion magazine.
"At the same time they're trying to prove themselves as aspiring fashionistas, that they have a sense of style and savvyness, all the things to make it in the fashion world."
The show is said to have been inspired by the movie The Devil Wears Prada, which saw a young woman land a job as an assistant to a tyrannical editor.
The winner of the series will be given a job in the fashion industry.
