Rex Features

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld has claimed that he is too old to revive his self-titled sitcom series.

Seinfeld, who wrote 2007's Bee Movie told the New York Post that there was no chance of him returning to TV work.

Speaking at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, he said: "I'm old, I'm rich and I'm tired."

The Emmy award-winning Seinfeld ran for nine years on NBC, with the last show airing on May 14, 1998.

A estimated 76 million viewers watched the show's final episode.
