'Phoo Action' to return for series

A six-part run of the futuristic kung-fu drama was commissioned even before a pilot aired on Tuesday.
It was one of six pilots BBC Three controller Danny Cohen ordered for the channel's rebrand this week.
He decided to give Phoo the green light earlier than expected to make sure it could be continued. It is based on a cartoon by Jamie Hewlett, who created Tank Girl.
"We really believe in the originality and boldness of Phoo Action," said a corporation spokesman. "It's fantastic news that the work of Jamie Hewlett and the rest of the crew will be back on the channel."
The series will be made by BBC Scotland in Glasgow later this year while the other pilots still to air could also still be commissioned.
