Choir complain about 'Talent' treatment
A group of pensioners who auditioned for the new series of Britain's Got Talent have complained about the way they were treated by Simon Cowell and the show's producers.

The Ebbw Vale Male Voice Choir paid £250 to travel to auditions in Cardiff after being invited to try out by show chiefs.

The singers, all aged between 60 and 93, then waited seven hours to be seen by judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden. When they finally got their chance to impress the trio, they found themselves facing criticism after just 30 seconds.

"It was a nightmare," chairman David Jenkins told the Daily Star Sunday. "We were made to queue for hours and kept in a holding room packed full of people. Luckily I had told everyone to bring food and drink. If it wasn't for our supplies we would have been keeling over. There weren't even enough seats."

"We had an absolutely horrible time," he continued. "This sort of thing is not something we would usually do but we were invited, so we went along. The worst part was when Simon told our pianist, who is 72 and has been our accompanist all her life - that she looked like she was going to go through the piano because he thought she was too loud."

David concluded: "It was like we were set up as comedy entertainment on this. If we are invited on TV again, we will definitely not go."
