C4 takes 'Designs' live, Gok to fashion

New entertainment shows on Channel 4 this spring and summer will include a "live" version of Grand Designs and a fashion series fronted by Gok Wan.

A week-long run of specials from the home design show will see Kevin McCloud build his own property with the help of guest celebrity presenters.

Grand Designs Live, scheduled for May, will also feature a Home of the Year competition, with viewers picking the winner in a phone vote.

In a new project for How to Look Good Naked presenter Wan, he will front a "weekly must-watch celebration of fashion, giving viewers a front-row seat to the best and most up-to-date fashion advice".

The show will encompass fashion news, opinion, celebrity fashion and makeovers and has the working title Gok's Clothes Show. It will begin in June as part of the broadcaster's spring and summer schedule, which was unveiled today.
