The couple were scheduled to film their episode this week but producers decided against including them following Katona's recent troubles.
The decision was made before the pregnant mum-of-three was admitted to hospital yesterday amid fears that she may have potentially fatal condition pre-eclampsia.
Her symptoms were later revealed to have been caused by water retention and low iron levels.
The former I'm A Celebrity... winner had just completed a fourth stint in rehab, where she was being treated for depression following rumours that Croft had been unfaithful.
An ITV source told The Sun: "It wouldn't be responsible to have her on in light of her recent troubles."
Filming was also suspended on her MTV reality show Crazy In Love when she checked into The Priory.
Other celebrities lined up to appear in the series include Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, Anthony Head, Christopher Biggins, Vic Reeves, Lembit Opik and Coronation Street's Vicky Entwistle.
