The frontman will have TV cameras follow him around as he completes the recording of his band's long-awaited Chinese Democracy album, reports AllYourTV.
It is rumoured a "major music-orientated television channel" wants to screen the show.
A source said: "There is a lot of footage to choose from. Some of it is incredibly personal and revealing about Axl's life."
Chinese Democracy, which is the metal band's first record in 14 years, has reportedly been finished and handed to Geffen Records.
