Webber suggests Nancy girl band
Andrew Lloyd Webber has suggested that the contestants on talent show I'd Do Anything form a girl group.

The musical producer argued that the women competing for the role of Nancy in a new production of the musical Oliver! were capable of knocking Girls Aloud "out of the window".

Speaking on andrewlloydwebber.com, he said: "You could put out of this show a girl band that would knock Girls Aloud and the memory of any those other girl bands right out of the window.

"If you put Niamh together with Rachel and Samantha and Jessie, I mean, crikey! Girls Disallowed, I think. Fantastic kids. Fantastic, all of them."

24-year-old Tara Bethan was voted off the show yesterday after losing in a sing-off to Keisha Amponsa-Banson.
