Mitchell and Webb to film sitcom pilot
David Mitchell and Robert Webb are working on a new sitcom for BBC Two.

The pair, known for playing flatmates in Channel 4's Peep Show, will film the pilot episode at the end of the year.

Speaking to Teletext, Mitchell said the new show would take a more traditional approach to the sitcom.

"We're still fiddling with it, but it will be similar in style to The IT Crowd, Black Books and Father Ted; a more heightened reality than Peep Show," he explained.

The comedy duo have previously worked on sketch show That Mitchell And Webb Look for BBC Two. Last year they starred in Magicians, a film about rival stage illusionists.
