'Rock Rivals' bows out to 2.3m

'Rock Rivals' final two

The final episode of Rock Rivals - with an ending chosen by the audience - was squarely defeated by The Apprentice in the ratings last night.

ITV1's interactive drama drew 200,000 more viewers than last week but that only took it to 2.4m, or 9.9% of the audience, for the 9pm hour. The whole series has averaged 2.6m (10.8%) - trailing the channel's slot average last year by 2.1m.

Meanwhile, the audience for BBC One reality show The Apprentice continued to balloon. The show attracted 400,000 more than last week, setting a series record of 7.4m (30.9%).

Elsewhere at 9pm, Channel 4 drew 1.7m (6.9%) for Child Genius; BBC Two reached 1.8m (7.6%) with Adventures in Architecture; and just 915,000 (3.8%) saw James Bond: the True Story on Five.
