Wogan could take 'Richard & Judy' slot

The BBC Radio 2 veteran is trialling a general knowledge quiz show for the channel, says the Daily Mail, with a view to becoming a fixture at 5pm. If taken on, he would reportedly be paid up to £1.2m a year.
Meanwhile, Top Gear favourite Hammond is said to be piloting a chatshow for the same slot. The final Channel 4 series from Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan will finish in August, before they move to a new show on a UKTV channel.
The paper quotes a source close to the negotiations as saying: "Terry has the right style and warmth for daytime television."
"He is a natural entertainer who doesn't need too much help from an autocue. He is the frontrunner to take over the slot from Richard and Judy."
Channel 4 has confirmed it is trialling several teatime shows but declined to comment further.
