Five plans "upmarket" sex advice series
Published Friday, May 2 2008, 12:20 BST | By Dave West
Five has commissioned a ten-part series called Sex: How To Do Everything.
The show is described as "an instructional, upmarket series that will bring a fresh approach to sex advice".
American presenters Emma Taylor and Lorelei Sharkey - who go by the names Em and Lo - will cover a different theme each week, to include seduction, orgasm and fantasy sex.
"We’ve long suspected that while Americans like to talk the talk when it comes to sex, it’s the Brits who really walk the walk behind closed doors," the pair said in a statement.
"Now we can put our theory to the test with this show. In the process, we’ll hopefully be able to improve the lust lives of people on both sides of the pond."
The presenters have written seven books together including Positions of the Day: Sex Every Day and Every Way and The Big Bang: Nerve’s Guide to the Sexual Universe.
Michele Kurland, executive producer at TalkbackThames, which is making the show, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Em and Lo who will certainly bring something fresh and feisty to the subject of sex for viewers, a topic that’s historically so taboo."
