'The Invisibles' secure 4.7m for BBC1

New comedy drama The Invisibles won its 9pm slot for BBC One last night.

The show, starring Warren Clarke and Anthony Head, was watched by an average of 4.7 million - a 20% share of the viewing audience - in the hour. ITV1 was not far behind at the time with Taggart, which drew 4.4m (19%).

The final instalment of Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies, which has run nightly since Monday, interested a decent 2.7m (11.7%).

US hit Heroes picked up 2.5m (11%) for BBC Two at 9pm - 1.2m fewer than last week's opener - while 1.4m (6%) watched medical drama House on Five.
