BBC Two has commissioned a third series and a Christmas special of Jack Dee comedy Lead Balloon.
The show is written by Dee and sees him star as Rick Spleen, a failing and cynical stand-up comedian.
Open Mike, the company that makes Balloon, has also been commissioned to make a pilot of a gameshow, fronted by Michael McIntyre, for BBC One. The audience will be called upon to "judge the public and celebrities on first impressions".
Head of production Andrew Beint said: "These new commissions from the BBC demonstrate just how diverse our programming slate is."
