McKeith: 'I don't regret my outbursts'

The TV nutritionist is known for her no-nonsense approach when advising participants on You Are What You Eat and similar health programmes, but she has insisted that she is misunderstood because producers edit out her softer side.
"There is a whole other side to me. When you're editing and getting a certain message across, you can make it look any way you like," McKeith told the Daily Record. "Yes, I am tough because I want results. But there's a lot of love and alot of nurturing and coaxing that would show you a side of me that you've never seen. I do actually have a very loving side and I am a lot of fun."
"I've never gone too far and I have no regrets about anything," she continued. "When the TV is turned off, I am still there for them and they have access to me whenever they want."
Gillian also revealed that she often confronts overweight strangers in the street and asks them to take part in her show.
"No one's ever told me to get lost," she said. "They're probably too scared."
