Mark Hill, head of production company RDF Television West, said: "We're delighted to be welcoming Dick Strawbridge back to Scrapheap Challenge and he'll help to continue to refresh and reinvigorate a brand which very much stands the test of time and is much loved by its fans."
The tenth series of Scrapheap Challenge is currently broadcasting in a teatime slot on Sundays with average ratings of 1.4 million.
