Sian Lloyd is first 'Celebrity' eliminee
Published Monday, May 5 2003, 22:42 BST | By Neil Wilkes
ITV weathergirl Sian Lloyd has tonight became the first casualty in ITV's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
Lloyd received the fewest votes from viewers wanting her to stay, a fact which was announced to the group by programme hosts Ant and Dec just before 7am local time (10pm UK). Fellow contestant Catalina Guirado narrowly escaped the eviction with the next least amount of votes.
After waving goodbye to the group, Sian left the camp and joined Ant and Dec back in the studio to talk about her experience.
"I was so so bored," she said. "Hours and hours with no telly, no books and no music. I really wasn't myself at all. The boredom was 10 times worse than what I expected and the lack of food - because we all suffered from lack of food. The hours just dragged, dragged, dragged on and on and on and I was going crazy with boredom."
One more contestant will be eliminated each day until just three remain in next Monday's live final.
