'Celeb' execs hope to recruit Jenkins

Opera star Katherine Jenkins is being lined up for the next series of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, according to a report today.

The Daily Star claims that producers approached the Welsh singer after she spoke in an interview about her down-to-earth personality and love for nature.

Jenkins revealed: "I love the outdoors. And I don't have any demands. When I'm performing I only ask for water or tea."

American Pie star Shannon Elizabeth, jockey Frankie Dettori and Esther Rantzen have also been linked to the new series.

I'm A Celebrity returns to screens in November and will once again be hosted by Ant and Dec.
