Former DJ Mike Read is taking Frank Carson's place on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, according to The Sun today.
The 51-year-old, most famous for banning Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s 'Relax' from Radio 1, will fly out to Australia with the nine other cast members on Wednesday. Carson, 77, was dropped from the lineup for the second time yesterday after failing to secure health insurance.
“After Frank was booted out, Mike is next in line," a source told the newspaper. “Viewers may not have seen much of him for a while, but producers reckon he could do as well as fellow golden oldie DJ Tony Blackburn. He’s younger than Frank and they believe he will fare better.???
The other celebrities include Jordan, Alex Best, Neil Ruddock, John Lydon, Peter Andre, Jennie Bond, Diane Modahl, Kerry McFadden and Lord Brocket.
