The former talkshow host was enclosed in a Perspex suit for the John T-revolting task, which featured animals being placed into the costume where they could crawl over his body.
Kilroy endured the maximum ten minutes in order to win a meal for each campmate, but later led them to believe that he had not succeeded.
"Sorry. [I] had to get into a case and they're going to put rats there which is where I got as far as and then eels. And the rats go in there, two minutes for a meal," he told them.
"So I got a meal for you, Simon [Webbe], and then they put in snakes and then spiders, green ants and then they drop all cockroaches. And I thought I can't do this.
"I said the first meal, I got a meal for you, Simon, and a meal for you, Esther. There might be a meal for you, Brian. I got all ten."
Kilroy was then embraced by the group as a chant of "We've got food" broke out.
