The politician won the lowest number of public votes after 12 days of life in the jungle and made his exit last night.
Kilroy-Silk told Ant and Dec that he was fine and was looking forward to seeing his loved ones, adding: "I pleaded with the viewers for another night, just one more night, but they wouldn't give it to me."
The former TV presenter said the experience had been tough, but that he was glad to have had the opportunity and revealed that he would like Martina Navratilova to win, having earlier said he would miss the "cultured renaissance woman" the most.
During his time in the jungle, the 66-year-old secured 22 meal stars for his fellow celebs and said that his best bits showed that he had been true to himself.
"The me that was there is me, whether I'm nasty or nice that was me, I'm myself. I have very strong views and I like to express them clearly... but I like to do what's right and what's fair," he said.
