The former tennis champion was elected to face the Carnage challenge by the other contestants, who felt that she was going stir crazy because she had yet to take part in a task.
"I've not done one yet and it was between Esther [Rantzen] and I as to who did it. Because it is a physical challenge we decided it would be one for me. I had been looking forward to it but I'm not so sure now," she told Ant and Dec before the trial began.
Martina was informed that she would be hoisted into the air in a Mini Cooper car, hanging alongside four other Minis above a creek. She then had to climb out of the vehicle and search for ten stars, jumping from bonnet to boot, with the number of stars collected equating to meals for the group.
A vehicle would also drop at certain intervals, taking Martina with it if she had not progressed to the next car.
Jumping from Mini to Mini, Martina managed to collect all the stars with a second to spare. "It was tough, I was out of breath but I was so determined to get every star and not drop one. I almost did drop one. The camp will be happy, it's been a while since they had a full meal," she told Ant and Dec afterwards.
"I am very, very pleased. I've not had a rush like that for a while. It's not quite like winning Wimbledon but maybe like the first or second round."
