Navratilova was furious with David Van Day for seizing a bed on the bus after Carly Zucker's exit, and claimed that his refusal to clean up after dinner was "horses**t".
Esther told George Takei that she does not want to end up on the wrong side of Martina. "I'm not going to tangle with the lady. She's ferocious. One feels like saying this is not school or prison, if people want to help they will help the best way they can," she said.
George responded: "That's another reason for me to be eliminated, I don't need all this."
Brian Paddick later tried to reason with Martina. "By seniority [David] is the next person, as Esther and Martina don't want to sleep up there. I don't like David but that's not a reason to be thrown off the bus," he said.
