Her eviction came close on the heels of Timmy Mallet's departure after he lost a surprise Bushtucker Trial to Brian Paddick. Rantzen, who received the fewest votes ahead of former Blue singer Simon Webbe, said her time in the jungle had been emotional.
She said: "It made me feel very vulnerable and emotional because you are cut off from the distractions of everyday life and everything that you had been holding back came to the fore."
The 68-year-old added that she was sad to be leaving her jungle mates. "I'm feeling very sorry to leave because they are such lovely people and the whole environment is so gorgeous," she said.
