Paddick's jungle exit draws 8m
Brian Paddick's elimination from I'm A Celebrity pulled in more than 8 million viewers last night (Monday).

Now in its final few days, the jungle-based reality series averaged 8.07m (32.7%) for ITV1 between 8.30pm and 10pm, bumping the traditional second episode of Coronation Street.

Corrie's 7.30pm episode logged the day's best numbers, averaging 9.64m (41.3%) for the channel. BBC One's EastEnders was second, with 9.37m (37.8%) at 8pm then 629k (3.6%) two hours later on BBC Three. Emmerdale had a strong 7.27m (32.9%) for third.

Hollyoaks drew 1.91m (8.8%) for Channel 4 at 6.30pm and 743k (3.8%) for E4 at 7pm. On Five, Neighbours had 1.63m (9.7%) and Home & Away picked up 1.16m (5.8%).

The penultimate episode of Spooks delivered 5.09m (20.5%) to BBC One in the 9pm hour, down 300k on last week.

BBC Two's University Challenge had 2.76m (11.1%) at 8pm, then Indian Food Made Easy interested 2.11m (8.6%) in the back half of the hour. Five's The Gadget Show notched up 1.17m (4.8%) to edge C4's The Ascent Of Money, which had 1.05m (4.3%) over the same period.

At 9pm Channel 4 improved to 1.5m (6%) for Catastrophe, this week looking at the effects of the ice age, and BBC Two had 1.37m (5.5%) for documentary WWII: Behind Closed Doors. Five's new series Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll: The '60s Revealed started with 1.09m (4.4%).

ITV1 stayed first in primetime with an average audience share of 27.7% (last week: 28.6%) to BBC One's 23.1% (22.6%). BBC Two had 7.2% (7%), followed by Channel 4 on 4.3% (5.6%) and Five on 3.7% (3.2%).

Sky1 documentary Britney: For The Record pulled in 391k (1.8%), comfortably winning the 8pm hour among the multichannels.

At 9pm, ITV4's Sanctuary kept up the pace with a slot-winning 374k (1.7%).
