Martina: 'Jungle has been emotional'

Martina Navratilova has revealed that her time in the I'm A Celebrity... jungle has been emotional.

The former tennis champion said that she has struggled to keep control of herself on occasion and has often found herself experiencing happiness and sadness for her campmates.

"I cry at drop of a hat. Even commercials make me cry. I'm a soft touch. It's a long schlep through here, for three weeks we have to keep control of everything but you have to put everything in perspective and not get too overwrought," she told the Bush Telegraph.

"I cried a few times, mostly for other people. Once I lost it because of mum, but the other times it was feeling happy or sad for other people."

Martina added that the jungle environment has had an impact on her behaviour, saying: "I've had my moments in here but this surrounding brings it out. I've had my moments but I've tried to control it. You have extremes of emotions here because everyone's on edge."
