10m see Swash win 'I'm A Celebrity'
More than 10 million tuned in to see Joe Swash crowned King of the Jungle last night (Friday), overnight figures suggest.

The two-hour finale of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! averaged a strong 9.12m (39.4%) for ITV1 from 8.30pm, with a peak audience of 10.09m (42.7%) watching at 9.55pm.

Over the last three weeks the series has averaged 8.25m (34.2%), up significantly on last year's 7.34m (29.9%) average (consolidated data).

ITV2's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here Now! pulled in 729k (5.3%) over an hour from 10.30pm, ranking as the most-watched multichannel programme of the day. This year the spinoff show has averaged 538k (3.8%) for the channel, down almost a third on last year's 740k (5.4%) average (consolidated data).

On BBC One, comedy Parents of the Band improved around 250k on last week's debut, averaging 2.86m (12.7%) from 8.30pm. Have I Got News For You put in 4.36m (18.3%) at 9pm, then Gavin & Stacey brought in 2.85m (12.2%).

BBC Two started with 2.09m (9.5%) for Mastermind at 8pm, then Gardeners' World welcomed 2.1m (9.3%). Legal documentary The Barristers concluded its four-week run with 1.17m (5%) in the 9pm hour.

On Channel 4, Come Dine With Me logged 1.47m (6.6%), then the penultimate episode of Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live had 1.26m (5.3%). At 10pm, The I.T. Crowd picked up 0.98m (4.4%).

Five started with 901k (4%) for World's Strongest Man Super Series at 8pm then improved to 1.31m (5.6%) for NCIS. Two episodes of Law & Order: SVU had 1.17m (5.9%) and 919k (8%) from 10pm.

Coronation Street won the battle of the soaps, with 9.1m (42.5%) for ITV1 at 7.30pm. EastEnders had 8.28m (37.8%) for BBC One at 8pm, plus a further 315k (1.5%) for BBC Three, while Emmerdale brought in 6.82m (34%).

Channel 4's Hollyoaks had 1.44m (7.3%) at 6.30pm, then E4's first-look interested 673k (3.8%) at 7pm (+1: 120k, 0.6%). On Five, Neighbours had 1.61m (10%) and Home & Away had 1m (5.4%).

ITV1 was up to a healthy 34% average share in primetime (last week: 31.3%), while BBC One dropped to 19.1% (19.6%). BBC Two was third with 7.1% (8.1%), followed by Channel 4 with 5% (5.5%) and Five with 4.4% (4.4%).
