According to The Sun, the former England footballer is "determined to stay off booze" so that he can star on the ITV1 reality show later this year.
"I'm A Celeb... has always been a show I've wanted to do one day," he said. "I can't wait."
Speaking about his current health, the sports star added: "I'm feeling great. Everything's going really well."
Last month, it was revealed that Gascoigne would be appearing on a celebrity version of BBC One entertainment show Wipeout.
