The reality couple, who made headlines after quitting the show four times, told NBC that they were "proud" of their achievements in the Costa Rican jungle.
"I couldn't have done anything better in there and I'm very proud because I didn't think I'd stay there that long. We did our best and we had fun," said Montag.
"It was really hard and I don't think people can imagine being in the jungle for 24 hours a day living like that. That's not living... We need a new word."
Her husband and Hills co-star Pratt added: "I'm very proud that I survived longer than ten minutes in the jungle because I was not ready even for a minute of that experience. I still can't believe I was there."
The pair, who married in April, are expected to return to the camp for tomorrow night's final episode.
