According to the Daily Star, the 'Behind Closed Doors' popstar was promised £250,000 if he headed back to the jungle, where he met Katie Price in 2004.
Producers apparently hoped that the recently divorced singer would enjoy another romance with one of the "hot celebrity babes" they have signed up for the new series.
However, friends of Andre have ruled out the possibility of him making an appearance on the reality show.
"Pete will be watching, but he'll be at home," said a source. "He sees returning as a backward step."
I'm A Celeb... returns on November 15 at 9pm on ITV1.
