Winehouse stopped dad from joining jungle

Amy Winehouse's father has admitted that the star stopped him appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! this year.

Speaking on his Showbiz Rant show, Mitch Winehouse confirmed that he had talks with the jungle programme's producers, but chose not to sign a contract after his daughter complained about the idea.

The cab driver revealed: "When I told Amy I had the interview, she went mad - she says, 'You're not doing it, dad'. She wouldn't let me do it."

Winehouse added that he will be supporting Sam Fox rather than Katie Price as he watches the series in the days ahead.

He said: "Now the one person in the jungle I do admire is Sam Fox. Sam Fox was obviously the prototype for Jordan - lovely big boobs, very, very nice girl, highly professional and maybe, a little bit of what Sam Fox does will rub off on Jordan."
