Manning: 'Washington and I just friends'

Stuart Manning has turned down Sabrina Washington's request for a date following their stint in the jungle.

Earlier today, ex-Mis-Teeq singer Washington said that she was hoping to take former Hollyoaks star Manning out on a date to KFC.

However, despite speculation that they had grown close during their three weeks on I'm A Celebrity..., the actor has now dismissed any spark of romance between them.

Manning, who was voted off the show last night, told GMTV this morning: "Everyone thinks it was a little bit more, but it's not - we're just friends.

"Sorry. I really enjoyed her company, we're at the same age bracket and we had good chats, [but] that's all it was."
