The campmates were given three wetsuits and rubber boots prior to the challenge. Kim Woodburn was unable to join in for medical reasons, but decided to go along as their cheerleader.
The contestants were instructed by Ant and Dec that they had to each carry a star through a river infested with snakes and large eels, clamber up a water-logged and slippery hill, all before placing it on a post. Each celebrity had to keep hold of their star until the trial was over to win a meal for camp.
After a brief discussion, Jimmy White decided that he would take the closest post, Justin Ryan would take the middle, while Gino D'Acampo would go for the long shot.
"If you don't get those two stars, you're dumped," Ryan told D'Acampo as the task began.
With fans blowing gale force winds, jets of water firing across the river and a huge boulder swinging across the walkway, White was first into the murky water and swam quickly to the other side. Scrambling up the muddy hill, he successfully placed the star on the post.
Next up was Ryan, who was bombarded with the water cannons and flying objects, but also managed to secure his star on the second post. D'Acampo followed but just as he was close to this final post, he was forced back down into the river by a torrent of water mixed with balls and other debris. He clawed his way back up, fighting the assault, before fixing his star in place.
D'Acampo reflected on the task: "I was 20cm away the first time and then all of a sudden from the top I was swept all the way down. It was a fantastic experience and shows we work well as a team; we had our beautiful cheerleader there."
