Carol Thatcher has spoken about life as the Prime Minister's daughter.
“I admire my mother greatly for having become Britain’s first female Prime Minister," she commented. "I saw how hard she worked to get the job. Then saw she was a workaholic when she got the job"
Having power in the family kept life interesting too, added Thatcher: “Politics is not short of drama, well certainly [at] Number 10. There was always a drama – either the currency was going down the drain, war with Argentina, Arthur Scargill."
She was not tempted to follow in mum's footsteps, however, explaining: “Nothing would have convinced me to go into it myself. I think the tension, in particular, gets to you.???
David Dickinson agreed: “I should imagine that no matter what the politics of the day, there’s a lot of responsibility that lies with you, you have to go to bed with that.???
