Sid and Sheree had to vie with 7ft ostriches to win the final Celebrity Chest in "worst ever" challenge.
While sitting atop a model version of one of the huge birds, they had to fire balls at targets hanging on surrounding trees. When they hit on target, the hanging chest would lower.
The ordeal was complicated by two real ostriches – and Sheree's extreme fear of the birds. “I’m so scared,??? she told Sid, who honourable said he would defend her. “Don’t worry if they come near you I will give them a slap,??? he promised.
Despite getting a pecking, the celebs managed to get their hands on the chest. As their reward, they Matt and Tara's "tasy treat" over a "Delicious Delight" from Ant and Dec. Happily, this turned out to contain Danish pastries and coffee, along with some inflatable boxing gloves.
“When we came up the hill I didn’t know what to expect,??? reflected Sheree later. “But I certainly didn’t expect to see those two big ostriches. I could have cried. I have not conquered my fear of birds. I don’t think I will ever like them.???
Putting the gloves to use, Sid – as Wanda from Waikiki – took on Sheree's Sammy Smurf. To Carol's delight, the lady won. “What a triumph,??? she declared. “Putting paid to all of the rubbish from male boxing fans that the girls do not count. How wrong these two have proved them this evening.???
