Solomon's bushtucker trial grabs 8.6m

Stacey Solomon's first solo bushtucker trial on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! was watched by 8.6m on Thursday evening, according to overnight audience data.

The former X Factor star's attempt at the 'Australian Job' challenge averaged a combined audience of 8.68m (34.4%) for ITV1 between 8.30pm and 10pm, easily dominating primetime.

BBC One's comedy hour was hit by I'm a Celebrity..., after Have I Got News For You and Reggie Perrin amused 4.03m (15.6%) and 2.75m (11.2%) from 9pm, down 1.5m and 720k respectively week-on-week.

Earlier, The One Show was watched by 4.57m (21.4%) on BBC One from 7pm, before Watchdog grabbed 4.47m (17.9%) in the 8pm hour.

The penultimate edition of Channel 4's Celebrity Coach Trip pulled in 2.13m (13.6%) from 5.30pm and 223k (1.1%) on timeshift. Later, new series Beeny's Restoration Nightmare opened with 2.25m (9%) from 8pm and 297k (1.2%) on Channel 4 +1.

The Secret Millionaire mustered 1.69m (6.7%) from 9pm and 403k (2.2%) on timeshift, before vampire drama True Blood had 570k (3.1%) and 148k (1.6%) an hour later.

BBC Two's The Culture Show grabbed 780k (3.4%) in the 7pm hour, before Nigella Kitchen cooked up 1.74m (7.1%). Autumnwatch 2010 appealed to 1.88m (7.4%) from 8.30pm and spinoff show Autumnwatch Unsprung took 1.81m (7.4%) from 9.30pm. Never Mind The Buzzcocks had 1.5m (7.3%) from 10pm.

Jaguar Adventures with Nigel Marven grabbed 438k (1.8%) on Channel Five from 7.30pm. It was followed by The Virgin Queen's Fatal Affair: Revealed, which appealed to 686k (2.7%) in the 8pm hour. A screening of In the Line of Fire fetched 1.03m (5.2%) from 9pm.

Overall, ITV1 owned primetime with 30.2% over BBC One's 18.3%. BBC Two came in third with 6%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.9% (+1: 0.9%) and Channel 5 with 3.3%.

Elsewhere, the new series of Misfits continued on digital channel E4 with 796k (4.4%) in the 10pm hour and 158k (1.7%) an hour later.

Spinoff show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here Now! entertained 619k (3.4%) on ITV2 from 10pm and 100k (1%) on timeshift.

On BBC Three, Russell Howard's Good News amused 938k (5.8%) between 10.30pm and 11pm.
