On their penultimate day in camp, the popular stars were offered the opportunity to win a celebratory feast and a movie screening in return for attending the 'Bush Spa', a jungle retreat containing gruesome alternatives to well-known beauty treatments.
"Yes, let’s do it please," Solomon exclaimed. "Today will be the best day in the jungle ever but tomorrow will be horrendous but who cares!"
When the two arrived in the clearing for their challenge, they discovered that in an added twist, former contestants Lembit Opik and Dom Joly would suffer a gunging of slime should either of them refuse a section of the trial.
After confirming that they would undertake the trial, a trembling Solomon was treated to a shampoo of meal worms and crickets followed by a bitey bug mani-pedi, while Ryder faced a cockroach conditioner and a rat-filled sauna.
Accompnied by the cheers of the 11 previously eliminated contestants, both then finished with a facial in a box filled with various creepy crawlies.
"Thank you so much," Solomon quipped to Ant and Dec as she completed the final challenge of the series. "I never want to see you two again."
Joly and Opik also celebrated walking away from the task gunge-free, with the former MP praising the efforts of Ryder, his "man of steel".
