The Liverpudlian comic, who is famous for daily stand-up shows in Spain, has been signed for £60,000, according to The Sun.
Producers apparently snapped up Rock, 53, because of her "mouth" and the fact that she is "not afraid to shoot from the lip".
In her autobiography This Heart Within Me Burns: From Bedlam to Benidorm, which was released earlier this year, Rock revealed that she has dealt with depression, self-harm, alcoholism and cancer during her lifetime.
Controversial comic Freddie Starr, '90s child popstar Aaron Carter and ex-Big Brother contestant Imogen Thomas have also been linked to the reality show in recent months.
I'm A Celebrity returns next month to ITV1 with usual hosts Ant & Dec.
