Crissy Rock's 'I'm a Celebrity' exit nabs more than 8m

Crissy Rock's elimination from I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! attracted more than 8m viewers on Wednesday evening, blitzing BBC One's Frozen Planet, the latest audience data has shown.

I'm a Celebrity... pulled in 8.35m (31.2%) from 8.30pm to 10pm, along with 435k (2.1%) on +1, as Benidorm actress Rock lost out in the public vote to Mark Wright.

Spinoff show I'm a Celebrity...Get Met Out of Here Now! grabbed 871k (4.7%) on ITV2 from 10pm, and 103k (1.1%) on timeshift.

After rallying last week to 6.6m, BBC One's Frozen Planet tumbled back to 5.18m (19.2%) in the 9pm hour.

In a strong night for ITV1, Super Tiny Animals averaged 4.76m (20.7%) from 7.30pm and 183k (0.7%) on +1, beating That's Britain's 3.6m (15.6%) on BBC One.

Panorama mustered 1.97m (7.6%) on BBC One from 8.30pm, Who Do You Think You Are? grabbed 1.42m (10.9%) from 10.45pm and Film 2011 with Claudia Winkleman welcomed 690k (8.1%) afterwards.

On BBC Two, former daytime show Heir Hunters enthralled 1.51m (6.8%) in the 7pm hour and MasterChef: The Professionals served up 3.01m (12%) from 8pm. Your Money and How They Spend It educated 1.31m (4.9%) in the 9pm slot and Mock the Week...Again amused 1.06m (5.1%) from 10pm.

Kirstie's Handmade Britain interested 1.22m (4.9%) on Channel 4 in the 8pm hour and 112k (0.4%) on +1. Grand Designs built 1.36m (5.1%) from 9pm and 278k (1.5%) on timeshift, before Chris Moyles' Quiz Night quizzed 820k (4.2%) from 10pm and 135k (1.4%) on +1.

Live coverage of the Europa League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and PAOK was enjoyed by 2m (8%) on Channel 5 between 7.30pm and 10.15pm.

Overall, ITV1 dominated primetime with 24.9% (+1: 1.1%) against BBC One's 17%. BBC Two came in third with 7.4%, ahead of Channel 5's 6.4% and Channel 4's 4.3% (+1: 0.8%).

Elsewhere, Foyle's War topped the multi-channels with 1.03m (4.6%) on ITV3 from 9pm. You're on Sky Sports! was enjoyed by 994k (5.4%) on Sky Sports 1 from 10pm.
